I answered: - 25 million lent to malaysia without interest for 1st yr
-help to solve communist problem
-help to gain independence
-build a common market
-give 5% revenue to malaysia.

QUESTION 2: What are the communal problems faced during the merger? (8 marks)

I answered: - Communists wanna overthrow PAP
-not happy that plan is foiled, cannot execute plan
-more malays than chinese as malaysia pulled in sarawak and sabah
